Up, Up and Away!

Sell Art Online

Wouldn't you like to ride in my beautiful balloon? This painting shows 3-hot air balloons lifting off at sunrise. I would love to be on one of them, floating up in the early morning sky and the world at my feet...If you would like to see a larger view of Lift Off at Sunrise, click on the image and hold on!

Can't Wait for Spring

Photography Prints

I don't know why, but this winter is really getting me down this year. I decided to combat it by painting something that was spring-like. The orange flowers and colorful sky helped my mood. I hope you enjoy this painting, Sky and Flowers. To see a larger view, click on the image.

ChromaSine

Art Prints

I have been stuck on abstracts lately. I haven't created many in the past, but I think I like abstracts these days. I call this one ChromaSine--it is made from colorful sine waves at different phases (with a little nonscientific positioning by this artist). I tend to use bold colors in both my representational and non-representational artwork. As someone said to me, "your bright colors pull me in" and I can't stop looking at the art. I love rich vibrant color, too. I think the color use has help me develop the skills involved in abstracts. In any event, I sure enjoy looking at ChromaSine and I hope you do as well. Abstracts

Photography Prints

I don't usually show my digital art abstracts because they require a skill that I never thought I had. To me, an abstract has to be more than lines that meander around without a sense of purpose. Until recently, most of my abstracts seemed to not have a purpose. I like the composition of the above abstract called Mutate. I titled it that because it reminds me of a how a human cell may mutate. This piece is a blend of science and art in that it was created by me using mathematical formulas for the composition and color. It is truly a one of a kind piece of art because I couldn't possibly remember the exact formulas or the sequence I used to generate it! Let's see, I think I took the sine of x and added it to the cosine of...aaaaagh! Well, anyway, I do like looking at the result even if I could reproduce it exactly. 2010 Calendar

My 2010 calendar was published just in time for holiday shopping. From My Studio features 12 images of my art, one for each month. This spiral bound wall calendar is a high quality rendering that will look great wherever you hang it. Among the art featured are landscapes, horses, and a hummingbird that appears on the front cover. The calendar itself has the USA holidays marked. Each day of the month has sufficient room for you to write down appointments and notes. Take a look at it:
