I don't usually show my digital art abstracts because they require a skill that I never thought I had. To me, an abstract has to be more than lines that meander around without a sense of purpose. Until recently, most of my abstracts seemed to not have a purpose. I like the composition of the above abstract called
Mutate. I titled it that because it reminds me of a how a human cell may mutate. This piece is a blend of science and art in that it was created by me using mathematical formulas for the composition and color. It is truly a one of a kind piece of art because I couldn't possibly remember the exact formulas or the sequence I used to generate it! Let's see, I think I took the sine of x and added it to the cosine of...aaaaagh! Well, anyway, I do like looking at the result even if I could reproduce it exactly.
